Il teatro di Giuseppe Fava sulla scena antica

Abstract

«Io sono siracusano, appartengo a una provincia nella quale avevamo[…] Demostene, Gorgia Leontini , […] Platone e Euripide» ebbe a dire Giuseppe Fava (1925-1984) ai microfoni di Rai Radio1. Il legame con la scena antica assume nella drammaturgia di Fava una doppia luce che illumina di volta in volta il personaggio di intimità e/o di disincanto. In modo particolare si presenta la commedia di Fava ‘Opera buffa’ rappresentata nell’estate del 1977 nei teatri antichi di Segesta, Taormina e Siracusa.

The link with the ancient scene has a double light in Fava's dramaturgy that illuminates the character from time to time with intimacy and/or disenchantment. We discuss Fava’s comedy ‘Opera buffa’, which was performed in the summer of 1977 in the ancient theatres of Segesta, Taormina and Syracuse.
